The 5 Pillars

- Strategy is at the core of each of our businesses
- The formulation of strategy is the responsibility of the shareholders jointly, and we agree a strategy pre-acquisition, then regularly reviewing it as a board
- The execution of this plan is driven by the executive management team
- Brand Capital. Whilst an intangible asset, this is at the core of recurring revenues. It measures much more than the brand name itself, as the reputation of the business is formed by all aspects of interaction, primarily with customers where the ability to develop existing relationships as well as build new ones is critical
- Human Capital mirrors Brand Equity. The development of all companies is reliant upon the the team leading the business and the culture across all employees, including investing in their skills and learning
- Information Capital. The implementation of appropriate operating measures as well as controls, whilst avoiding overloading unnecessary costs or processes. We view this as critical to enabling proper strategic insight and objective discussion within the business including at board level. Linked to this is a strong finance function where cash conversion is optimised
- Financial Capital. As with all small to medium sized businesses, access to further capital to drive growth opportunities is a differentiator. Our backing of our managers is evidencing by our actions, across investment in growing operating costs, capex and in follow on funding of bolt on acquisitions. Whilst return on investment matters, the strategic development of the business is at the centre of decision making
